ಮೊಗೆಮೊಗೆದು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಸುರಿಸುವ ಆ ಹೊಳೆಯುವ ಕಣ್ಣ್ಣುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತೃತ್ವದ ಮಮತೆಯ ಸುಧೆ. ಹಾರ್ದ ಒಡನಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಹ್ಲಾದವೆನಿಸುವ ಕಲಾಕಂಪಿನ ತಂಪು. ಉಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಬಿಳಿಸೀರೆಯ ಅಂಚು ಅಂಚಿನಲ್ಲೂ ಅನುಭವದ ಪಾಕಕ್ಕೆ ಹರಳುಗಟ್ಟಿದ ನಿರ್ಭಿಡೆಯ ನಿಲುವು. ಸದಭಿರುಚಿಯ ಕಲಾಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಕ್ತಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಬಿಚ್ಚು ಮಾತು, ಅನಗತ್ಯ ವಾದಸರಣಿಗಳಿಂದ ದೂರವುಳಿದು ಕಲೆಯನ್ನೇ ನಿರಂತರ ಧ್ಯಾನಗೈಯುವ ಅಧ್ಯಯನನಿಷ್ಠೆ, ಕಲಾಕೈಂಕರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಿರತ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರನ್ನು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ಆದರಿಸುವ ಪಕ್ವತೆ, ಸದಾ ಸ್ಮಿತಪೂರ್ವಾಭಿಭಾಷಿಣಿ- ಅಂತಹ ತಾಯಿ, ಕರಾವಳಿಯ ನಾಟ್ಯಕಲಾ ತಪಸ್ವಿನಿ ಜಯಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಆಳ್ವ ಇಂದು ನಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಕಲಾಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವನ್ನೂ ಒಳಗೊಂಡಂತೆ ಅವರು ನೂಪುರ ಭ್ರಮರಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಬೆಚ್ಚನೆಯ ಅನುಬಂಧ, ಯಾವುದೇ ಲೇಖನವನ್ನಾದರೂ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಓದಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಮಮತೆಯನ್ನು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಮರೆಯುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ.
Noopura Bhramari, initiated its activities as a bi-monthly magazine 11 years before and became a milestone in Cultural Journalism. Since then, different aspects in the field of art has been specially located and published. Among them, a directory on dance/Yakshagana research work done by various researchers of the various universities in and around Karnataka was prominent. This work helped not only on availing references for research, but also eliminating the possibilities of duplication in the research topics.
The other important initiatives are documenting the 100 years of development in Dance styles, group interview of artistes portraying Yakshagana female characters and documenting its different aspects; publishing write-ups, articles, dance poetry and research based papers that express contemporary thoughts and show different dimensions.
This journal is platform for Shastra+Prayoga= to emphasize the relationship between practice and theory. It is providing opportunity for Art and its relevance, social communication, to discuss pros and cons of various issues, and discussion. It is a journalism approach for strengthening culture and tradition.

ಭರತನಾಟ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ M.A. ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಡಾ. ದ್ವರಿತ ವಿಶ್ವನಾಥ ಅವರು ನೀಡಿದ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಇಂದು ವಿವಿಧ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ವಿಧಾನವು ಶೃಂಗಾರ ಮಂಜರಿ, ರಸಮಂಜರಿ, ಶೃಂಗಾರ ತಿಲಕ, ದಶರೂಪಕ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ಗ್ರಂಥಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವರಿಸಿರುವ ಸಖೀ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಾದ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು; ಕನಕದಾಸರ ಮೋಹನತರಂಗಿಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿತವಾದ ಚಿತ್ರಲೇಖೆಯ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಖೀ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ನೃತ್ಯಸಂಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಅತ್ಯುಪಯುಕ್ತವಾದ ಸುಳುಹನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ.
PadavarNa is considered to be the highlight of the repertoire of the South Indian Classical dance form BharatanaaTyam. In the contemporary period, the presentation technique seems to be inadequate, monotonous and somewhere deficient of the necessary aesthetic equipment. The present research paper aims to probe into the essential characteristics in pada varNa which have been transmitted through oral tradition through Guru-Shishya parampara from the Sadir technique of the Maratta period to todays BharatanaaTyam. The researcher through this paper aspires to probe into the history, structure and its aesthetics especially as presented in the contemporary period in the solo form. This research work is sprung out as a result of the researchers introspective process. This research would specially benefit the dancers and the dance teachers to take up choreographing padavarNa from an aesthetic angle as it mirrors the guNaas (qualities) and the doshaas (blemishes). The present research paper, puts the structure to the test on the basis of these aesthetic scientific principles and approaches the subject in a pure analytical method. It also applies the practical method to the structure to measure for its aesthetics as the researcher has also experimented with change in formatting the presentation based on the theme. This research has also observed and recorded the changes attempted by other artistes.
ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ನೃತ್ಯಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಎಂದರೇನು? ಯಾವ್ಯಾವ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳಿವೆ? ಯಾವ್ಯಾವ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ನಡೆಸಬಹುದು? ಯಾವ ಮಟ್ಟಿನ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಯಾವ ವಿಷಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು? ನೃತ್ತ-ನೃತ್ಯ-ನಾಟ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಇಂದಿನ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹೇಗೆ ವಿಭಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ನಡೆಸಬೇಕು ?ಯಾವ ಬಗೆಯ ಆಶಯ-ಸಂವೇದನೆ-ತರ್ಕವಿರಬೇಕು? ಸಂಶೋಧನ ವಿಧಾನಗಳು, ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟ, ನೆಲೆ-ಬೆಲೆಗಳು ಹೇಗಿರಬೇಕು? ತೊಡಕುಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಿವೆ? ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ನಮೂನೆಗಳು ಯಾವ್ಯಾವುದು ಲಭ್ಯವಿವೆ?- ಹೀಗೆ ಕಲಾಸಂಶೋಧನೆಯ ಆಳ ಅಗಲಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾಗಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸುವ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಕವಾದ ಪ್ರೌಢ ಲೇಖನ.
