Noopura Bhramari, initiated its activities as a bi-monthly magazine 11 years before and became a milestone in Cultural Journalism. Since then, different aspects in the field of art has been specially located and published. Among them, a directory on dance/Yakshagana research work done by various researchers of the various universities in and around Karnataka was prominent. This work helped not only on availing references for research, but also eliminating the possibilities of duplication in the research topics.The other important initiatives are documenting the 100 years of development in Dance styles, group interview of artistes portraying Yakshagana female characters and documenting its different aspects; publishing write-ups, articles, dance poetry and research based papers that express contemporary thoughts and show different dimensions.This journal is platform for Shastra+Prayoga= to emphasize the relationship between practice and theory. It is providing opportunity for Art and its relevance, social communication, to discuss pros and cons of various issues, and discussion.
